Moon, who was already an Olympic and world champion in 2022 and 2023, cemented her status as one of the greatest pole vaulters of all time. In the women’s 10,000 meters, Kenya’s Beatrice Chebet set an unrelenting pace from the start and crossed the line well ahead of Italy’s Nadia Battocletti, who surprised with the silver medal, and Ethiopia’s
Gudaf Tsegay, who claimed the bronze. Another standout performance came in the women’s hammer throw, where Canada’s Camryn Rogers delivered an impressive throw of 80.51 meters to secure the gold, leaving China’s Zhao Jie and Zhang Jiale with silver and bronze respectively.
